Born in Syracuse NY, Matt moved to North Carolina when he was 7 after the passing of his father. He studied music at UNC-Greensboro, but was drawn to Emergency Services due to the involvement of both parents in the local VFD back in NY. He earned a technical degree in emergency medicine and went to work a a Paramedic. After a carreer ending injury in the line of duty he decided to use the skills in making relationships with people and go into sales. He was lucky to find a well respected dealership who was willing to take him on and give him a chance to start a new carreer in car sales.
Matt lives in hickory with his wife Kim, and two step-kids Connor and Morgan. His children from his first marriage Logan, and Payton live in Stanley NC with their mother.
